Jose Sucre, CEO

Founder and driving force behind the company. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela. He loves to keep his hands full by participating in the development of the new testing technologies, software, marketing, and customer experience strategies.

Sansaptak De, COO

Sansaptak is our Chief Operations Officer ensuring project implementation standards and quality. Originally from India. He is driven by the impact we are making supporting higher quality data regarding our water.

David Punchard, Chairman

David is the vision and director of the WaterVue orchestra. He serves as a vision leader and a mentor to the team focusing on impact and growth. David's experience building successful revenue models that provide social impact is a key asset to the WaterVue team.

Athena Yannitsas, Community Director

Athena is our director of Community Engagement. She is experienced in driving non-profit organizations to deliver maximum community impact. Athena helps us be the voice of our communities that deserve to know what is in their water.

ADVISORY BOARD

Schonna R. Manning, Ph.D. 

Dr. Schonna R. Manning is a phycologist working at the intersection of molecular biology and analytical chemistry whose research examines the dynamics of harmful algal blooms and proliferations. She is also interested in the immense potential of algae in biotechnology for carbon capture, remediation, and the synthesis of diverse bioproducts. Dr. Manning oversees the Omics Facility for the Institute of Environment, an FIU preeminent program. She is committed to the advancement of algal sciences and works closely with colleagues across the globe in academia, local and federal agencies, and non-profit organizations. Dr. Manning serves on numerous editorial boards and contributes to the international scientific community through her service to the Phycological Society of America and the Algae Biomass Organization, including the development of educational curricula for The Algae Foundation.

Dr. Keith Van de Riet

Keith Van de Riet joined University of Kansas Architecture in fall of 2015. He received his doctorate in Architectural Sciences from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2012 with a focus in Built Ecologies, a program co-hosted by The Center for Architecture, Science and Ecology and Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, LLP in New York City. Prior to joining KU, he was teaching and conducting research at Florida Atlantic University, with research activities that include collaborative development of coastal structures to promote ecological services alongside urban development. His research experience includes development of engineered-natural structures, simulation and analysis of environmental systems and prototype testing and development. He received his B.Arch from KU in 2004.
